Opera in the Pines returns to Maine Beer Company for an exclusive one-night only celebration of love, Pining for You. Pining for You is an operatic dating show where you, the audience, choose the ultimate couple in opera history. With every aria and dramatic twist, your votes decide which duo will rise above the rest. Throughout the show, you can also enter for the chance to win a love charm, when a legendary opera character will be pining for YOU!
Hosted by Leif Erickson of 107.5 Frank FM, celebrated singers from our past seasons will fight for the title with duets from some of the most iconic operas in the repertoire, with the plot explained for a modern audience.
Whether you bring your partner, a group of friends, or show up solo… there’s plenty of love to go around!
General Notes:
Doors will open at 5:30 PM. Please arrive by 6:00 PM for pre-show dinner and drinks. The show will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. Please note that food will not be served after 7:00 PM. The bar and bottle shop will remain open post performance.
The performance will be 60 minutes, performed without intermission, and sung in the original language of the opera excerpt being presented, with English supertitles.
Any food and drink purchases are not included in the price of your ticket, with the exception of the first round for Studio Audience Ticket holders.
Ticket and Seating Guidelines:
Studio Audience Ticket: In addition to contributing towards the cost of our upcoming season, a Studio Audience Ticket provides a reserved seat on the main level of the tasting room, closest to the performers, a Love Charm Entry, first round is on us, and a commemorative 13 oz. Belgian glass, branded with our event details, for you to take home!
Reserved Seating Ticket: A Reserved Seating Ticket provides a reserved seat at the balcony tables on the second level of tasting room, or at the bar on the main level.
Please know that the tables for Studio Audience and Reserved Seating Tickets are intended for parties of six and you may be seated with new friends! If you know of other patrons you would like to sit with who have purchased their tickets separately, write us a note with your purchase and we will do our best to seat you together.
General Admission Ticket: General Admission seating is first come, first serve and standing room. There are plenty of tables available on the second level of the tasting room to sit during pre-show drinks and dinner, but once the show begins, you will have to shift, stand, and adjust in order to view the performers.
Love Charm Entry: During the performance, each of our soloists will sing an aria to the lucky winner of a love charm and one entry is one step closer to the action! Every dollar goes towards the cost of our upcoming season and making more opera possible in our neck of the woods.
Studio Audience and Reserved Seating tickets are the only tickets that guarantee a seat. General Admission seating is first come, first serve, and standing room.
